When the WAU is gone…

As part of the ongoing review of Rx-info, sometimes we need to say goodbye. 10 years is a long time…
We introduced the Lord Carter review derived weighted activity unit (WAU) denominator in 2016, but on 1/3/26 we will deprecate this from the systems. The unit is no longer supported by NHS and we think that other denominators e.g. per 1,000 admissions provide effective rate denominators. We will update links that use the WAU to a suitable alternative.
