Epidural Infusion Shortage effecting all Hospitals
In response to the Patient Safety Alert, NatPSA/2025/007/DHSC, issued on 2nd December 2025 and relating to the supply issues of licensed and unlicensed Epidural Infusion Bags, Rx-Info has provided links to Define, Refine and Exend to support the Trust Executive lead to address their required actions.

Define will show your usage compared with other Trusts within your cohort for different products.
Refine will show, within your own organisation, which cost centres have had the infusions issued in recent months and the volumes used.
Exend will show your current stock levels for each product, and how many days of stock remains in your Trust based upon the usage over the last 2 weeks.
